Attentive service, historic feeling and good location. The rooms are small but well maintained. The private bathrooms are not in the same floor. That's the inconvenience. We enjoyed the balcony facing the town, Potomac River and Maryland heights.

Great place to stop. It’s in the heart of Harper’s Ferry all the attractions are within walking distance of hotel. The train station is also within walking distance. My train got in at 12 noon. I had been on the train since Chicago. They were very understanding and let me check in early since the room was ready and take a shower. I would stay again.

We absolutely loved this place and I wish we had planned to stay longer. As the owner says, it's not for everyone, but it is definitely for us. As a Vermonter, it felt like a slice of home somewhere we didn't even know existed. The country store, the carefully crafted rooms, and the magical location that also happens to be right next to the Appalachian trail makes for an incredible experience. The only complaint I can possibly come up with is the window heater/AC in the friendship room can be a bit loud and sounds like a bearing might need replacing. Otherwise everything else was amazing.

You really can't beat the location or the price in Harper's Ferry. Some reviewers note the space is cluttered, a bit of a maze, steep stairs, etc. All true- but this is an inn/hostel built into an existing nearly 200 year old building built into a hillside. That comes with the territory. The room was comfortable and clean, the shared shower had hot water, there was self serve food and you could stock uo for a hike, and the wifi was good enough that I could take multiple video calls from the room. If you don't like quirky rooms and older buildings, go to a holiday inn. We'll be back!

I stayed in the 1840 and it was clean and felt homey. Kayla was absolutely helpful and very kind. I loved the cafe and kitchen available to use. It was nice to see other guests and get to know their story! It was also great drinking coffee and looking out the window people watching. I would recommend!

Chock-a-block charm throughout this wonderful historic (1840s) inn perched at the top of Harper’s Ferry’s main drag! Captivating views of the amazing town at the confluence of Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers, where nation-changing history took place (and described by none other than Thomas Jefferson as “worth a trip across the Atlantic”). Karan, the owner, could not have been more welcoming. Among the many lovely, unusual touches is that you can purchase food items and cook them yourself in the well-appointed kitchen (I whipped up a tasty breakfast this morning). I could not more highly recommend this unforgettable place!

I stayed at The Town's Inn on May 20, 2026. My room, the Appalachian, had a private bath and a good Queen bed. It was very clean and decorated comfy. It had windows looking over the town and a view of the river. I recommend this nice small hotel. Richard K.

We stayed in a suite at The Town's Inn with 2 adults and 3 kids, and it was perfect for our family. The room was incredibly spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. This historic building has been thoughtfully updated to provide all the conveniences of a modern hotel while maintaining its unique charm. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our kids especially loved the scavenger hunt and the secret entrance to our room—it added a fun and memorable touch to the experience. The Town's Inn exceeded all of our expectations and was the perfect home base for exploring Harpers Ferry Historic District. Charming accommodations, wonderful people, and a truly unique experience. We will definitely be back!
